Tributes paid to Rafiq Bajwa

The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Tuesday paid tribute to renowned jurist Rafiq Ahmed Bajwa for his services as a lawyer. The bar held a condolence meeting on his fourth death anniversary. The LHCBA president Anwar Kamal chaired the condolence meeting. LHCBA vice president Mian Muhammad Aslam, secretary Rana Asadullah Khan, LBA president Manzoor Qadir, Syed Nisar Safdar Advocate, Member Punjab Bar Council Inayat Malik, Ahmed Awais, Justice Malik Saeed Hassan (Retd) and Abdul Latif Chaudhry Advocate also attended. Speakers said that he was a true lover of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and never lived for earning money like most people do. "The public and the legal community held the deceased in high esteem because of his inherent honesty, experience, intelligence and legal capabilities," they said. "Rafiq Bajwa made sacrifices for the cause of restoration of democracy in the country and he was loved by people because of his quick wit and pleasant personality." Advocate Rana Shaukat then led the prayers.
